Lisa Ling says she gets emails from Oprah Winfrey at 2am.
LISA LING, the American television presenter who is fronting a new series on OPRAH WINFREY's network 'OWN', says she receives emails from the 'queen of daytime television' during the early hours of the morning, reports the Los Angeles Times.Ling's new series 'Our America' premieres today (15th February 2011) and will examine controversial subjects in society, such as online brides, sex offenders, drug addiction and religious movements. The 37-year-old said she has worked tirelessly on the project with Winfrey, saying, "She has been so effusive about this series. I've definitely kept every e-mail she has sent. I always get e-mails from Oprah at, like, 2 a.m. It just never stops". Ling was a co-host on 'The View' between 1999 and 2002, and was a field correspondent on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' for several years. However, the presenter says it is now the right time to front her own show, saying, "Even though I've been working in this business for over 20 years, I've never gotten a chance to do some really provocative programming. OWN has really let me work on stories in a way that I wouldn't be able to do anywhere else".
During today's premiere of 'Our America', LISA LING visits a faith-healing revival in Fort Mill in South Carolina to meet with people who seek cures from an apparent 'faith healer' named Todd Bentley.
