Little Boots' success blows her mind.

The singer - whose real name is Victoria Hesketh - is amazed that she is now in a position to be on her favourite TV shows and performing at the venues she used to watch her heroes at.

The 25-year-old British star said: "I've done some cool stuff. I've been all over the world. I'm playing Shepherd's Bush next week, that blows my mind.

"I've got a gold record. It's surreal. I think the Glastonbury show was really special and 'Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.' Doing things you've grown up with. "

Little Boots - who received attention at the beginning of the year when she topped the BBC Sound of Music poll 2009 and received a BRIT Critics Choice nomination - said she's pleased with how well the album did, considering how much pressure she felt at the time.

She told NME magazine: "I just wanted to get it to as many people as possible. The fact that 200,000 people bought my album is nuts. It's a lot of people!

"I was sat at the pictures the other night and this woman sat next to me and was like, 'My three-year-old makes me put on your song every night on repeat', and it nearly made me cry.

"That's what it's about. It's been a total head-f**k but it's been an amazing journey."
