LMFAO's concert in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday (03Feb12) was marred by a crowd crush after 11 audience members were treated for injuries.
The Party Rock Anthem hitmakers staged the free show in Super Bowl Village, ahead of the big game on Sunday (05Feb12), and 50,000 flocked to the city's streets to watch the pop duo's performance.
However, the volume of the crowd proved too much for several audience members, and 11 people were injured - with Indianapolis Public Safety Director Frank Straub revealing most suffered shortness of breath or scraped knees.
Fan Kaitlyn Blacha tells the Associated Press, "At times, I was pinned so tightly I didn't even have to hold my body up. Nobody could turn back. We were just stuck."
Super Bowl Host Committee spokeswoman Dianna Boyce says, "It looked like a lot of people having a good time. When you have 200,000 people, you have to continue to keep everyone safe."
