Lindsay Lohan is planning to devote herself to charity work after completing her stint in rehab - and she has Malawi among her first destinations as a global do-gooder.
The troubled actress was released from jail on Monday (02Aug10) after serving 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest.
The Mean Girls star was sent straight to rehab to complete a 90-day program as part of her sentence, and, speaking before her incarceration, Lohan revealed she wants to concentrate on making movies and supporting good causes over the next year.
In an interview with Maxim magazine, which is due to be published later this month (Aug10), Lohan said, "(I want) to focus on myself and my work and to move all press on me to focus on the work I do. Also, I’d like to do more work in India and travel to Malawi.”
Lohan spent a week in India last year (09) shooting a documentary for the BBC about the trafficking of women and children in the country.
