Rocker Perry Farrell is set to launch his Lollapalooza festival in Israel next year (13).
The popular 21-year-old event, which hit Chicago this weekend (03-05Aug12), will head to Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park in August, 2013 as the first-ever large-scale international music festival in the country.
But Farrell isn't planning to stop there - he's also exploring the possibility of holding a similar show in Jerusalem.
He tells CNN, "We got a call from Jerusalem, the Holy City, and they want Lollapalooza to be there, too. But it's going to start in Tel Aviv, and we're going to do something in Jerusalem. The mayor's like: 'We want to bring young people, we want to change the perception of Jerusalem.' So we're even talking with them about it."
The latest Lollapalooza location follows the success of the other international launches in Chile and Brazil in the past two years.
