A lost duet between late legends Ray Charles and Johnny Cash has been found in storage.
The duo recorded Kris Kristofferson song Why Me, Lord? in 1981 but the track was never released in any form.
The existence of the tape only came to light when Valerie Ervin, the president of the Ray Charles Foundation, came across letters written to Charles by Cash, in which the country legend recalled the recording.
In one of the letters Cash hints about releasing the record and splitting the royalties.
Ervin then turned detective in an effort to track down the lost tape and found it at a storage facility in New York.
Why Me, Lord? appears on a new collection of Charles' songs, titled Rare Genius: The Undiscovered Masters.
