Archived sheet music which could be a lost composition by WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART has been discovered at an Austrian concert house.

The Musikverein in Vienna is conducting an investigation into the origins of the recently discovered artifact, which has seen international experts comparing the unattributed script to those known to have been hand-written by Mozart.

OTTO BIBA, archive director of the SOCIETY OF MUSICAL FRIENDS OF VIENNA, says, "Some things are for it and some against it."

A conclusion is expected to be reached next year (06) - which the European country has designated as a year of celebration to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth.
