Lou Reed, Tom Morello and punk icons Ian Mckaye and Jello Biafra have signed up to support the Occupy movement online as part of a new website which alerts protesters and activists to rallies and events.
The OccupyMusicians resource went live online on Monday (21Nov11) and Morello and Reed were among the first celebrities to sign up for updates.
Both have been big supporters of the two-month-old anti-greed movement, which began as Occupy Wall Street in New York and spread throughout the world.
Reed's partner Laurie Anderson, Talib Kweli and Amanda Palmer have also signed up.
Organisers of the site will help co-ordinate performances at protest sites.
