Courtney Love has offered an apology to her estranged daughter after she tweeted about a rumoured romance between the teen and her late father's Nirvana bandmate Dave Grohl.
The Hole frontwoman raised eyebrows with a post on Twitter.com in which she accused Foo Fighters star Grohl of seducing her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, writing, "I hear from frannies (Frances') roommate that Dave Grohl hit on Frances, and that she was curious, I'm not mad at her, him I am about to shoot, dead."
Both Grohl and Cobain vehemently denied the rumour, with the rocker insisting her allegations were "upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue", and the 19 year old urging Twitter bosses to ban Love from the micro-blogging site.
Now Love has taken to Twitter once again to reach out to Frances in a bid to make amends for her rant.
She tweeted, "Bean, sorry I believed the gossip... Mommy loves you."
