Courtney Love has spoken out about her high-profile bust-up with daughter FRANCES BEAN - insisting the teenager punched, bit, and scratched her during a frenzied attack.
Frances, Love's daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was placed under the temporary guardianship of her paternal grandmother and an aunt in December (09) after a falling out with her mother.
A judge later slapped a banning order on Love, preventing her from contacting Frances until a further hearing in April (10).
The Hole rocker is adamant her feud with Frances is over - and she will have her daughter back in time for her 18th birthday in August (10).
But she has also revealed details of the argument that sparked their split - insisting Frances attacked her.
Love says, "I was talking on the phone. Frances came out of my room. She was hysterical. First she was crying at my legs, saying, 'Why was I born?' Then she bites and scratches and pulls on my hair. She punched me. I grabbed her with both arms. That left a bruise and she took a picture of her bruise."
