Madonna is splashing out $30 million (£20 million) on her New York penthouse - in a bid to replicate her former country home in England.
The Material girl handed her ex-husband Guy Ritchie ownership of their country estate, Ashcombe in Wiltshire, last year (08) as part of their $44.8 million (£32 million) divorce settlement.
The pop star is reportedly pining for her former home - and is transforming her Manhattan apartment into a copy of the traditional English mansion, according to Britain's The Sun.
A source tells the publication, "Madonna is obsessed with making it a match with Ashcombe.
"She wants matching wallpaper, fabrics and furniture. She has meticulously documented her old home room, by room with photographs and she's sent a team of assistants to stores that stock authentic period pieces."
