Madonna's Charity Boss Quits
MADONNA is hunting for a new head for her Raising Malawi charity - after the foundation's boss quit to set up home with the star's personal trainer.
Executive director Philippe van den Bossche is leaving the charity's Los Angeles headquarters to live with Tracy Anderson in New York.
The couple, who became close during Madonna's frequent trips to Malawi in the run-up to her adoptions of David Banda in 2006 and Mercy James earlier this year (09), has been dating for eight months, according to Anderson.
But their union shocked the singer - who is busily searching for a new director to head up her charity.
Van den Bossche tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "She (Madonna) was disappointed, as it is hard to find the right people to run the projects you deeply care about. But Madonna is a great friend, and she's happy for Tracy and me.
"It was a hard decision to resign my position at Raising Malawi, but I feel it's time to concentrate on my relationship and my future, now that I've found the right person."
Madonna founded Raising Malawi after adopting David from the African nation. The non-profit organisation works to raise funds for six orphanages in the poverty-stricken country.
