Madonna's embattled former lover and nightclub king Chris Paciello is set to become the subject of a new biopic.
The film will focus on Paciello's turbulent past and his efforts to transform South Beach, Florida into one of the most popular party destinations in the world.
Studio bosses at New Line Cinema have already tapped Emmy Award-winning scriptwriter Adam Mazer to pen the project and casting will soon be underway.
The famed New York-born socialite, who also dated Jennifer Lopez and model Naomi Campbell, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2000 for taking part in a Staten Island burglary, which left one woman dead 17 years prior.
Paciello, who had strong ties to the Bonanno crime family, walked free in 2006 after serving as a government informant. He has had several run-ins with the law, most recently in February (12) when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The 40 year old, who now owns and operates a posh restaurant in Florida, is eager share his version of events, telling The Miami Herald, "I'm happy and humbled to finally have the right opportunity to tell my story."
