Jennifer Aniston's family film MARLEY & Me shared the top spot in the international box office charts over the weekend (21/22Mar09) with GRAN TORINO.
Aniston's dog comedy held on to the number one position for a second consecutive week, but was joined at the top by Clint Eastwood's latest film - with each movie grabbing takings of $8.8 million (£6 million) from 38 markets.
French movie Coco took the third spot, earning an impressive $8.5 million (£5.8 million) from just one market - France.
Superhero film Watchmen, starring Billy Crudup and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, dropped to fourth spot, garnering $7 million (£4.8 million) from 58 markets outside the States.
Animated feature Monsters vs. Aliens rounded out the top five, with takings of $6.9 million (£4.7 million).
