Martin's Menudo Set For Rebirth On Reality Tv
The boy band that gave Ricky Martin his big break is set for a rebirth, as part of a new reality TV show.
MTV cameras will follow the fortunes of singers and dancers hoping to be a part of the new MENUDO as part of new four-part talent series ROAD TO MENUDO.
The five teenagers who land roles in the new supergroup will then star in a 10-part series, focused on recording sessions for a debut album, later this year (07).
Veteran boy band svengali JOHNNY WRIGHT will head up a panel of celebrity judges who will supervise auditions, which begin in Lynwood, California at the end of March (07).
Auditions will also be held throughout April in Miami, Florida; Dallas, Texas, and Queens, New York.
The original Menudo formed in 1977 but became a worldwide sensation in the mid 1980s when pin-up Martin joined the Latin supergroup.
