Sir Paul McCartney blocked a parody of his hit track Live And Let Die by Weird Al Yankovic because the funnyman wanted to rename it "Chicken Pot Pie".
Yankovic has famously spoofed many well-known songs during his career, including Beat It by Michael Jackson and Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.
He typically pens a similar-sounding song and adjusts the lyrics to mock the original artist - but strict vegetarian MCCartney refused to green-light Yankovic's parody of the Wings track because of its meat-based title.
The funnyman tells Espn's The B.S. Report, "He didn't want a song used in any context that would be supposedly promoting the consumption of animal flesh... It's a valid reason and I get it. And I hate it when people put him on the list of humourless guys, because that wasn't the case at all. In fact, he said, 'Think of any other subject and I'm happy to OK it'."
