Paul McCartney's entire back-catalogue will now be available across all digital platforms after a deal was reached with Parlophone, part of the EMI group.

The move has increased speculation that a decision on putting the Beatles back-catalogue on digital offerings is imminent.

McCartney's first self-titled solo album, his work with Wings through to his last album Chaos and Creation in the Backyard will now be available to download.

Tony Wadsworth, chairman and chief executive of EMI Music UK, said: "Paul McCartneys post-Beatles catalogue, spanning four decades, is one of the great treasures of popular music. EMI is proud to be introducing Paul's music to the digital marketplace."

More details regarding when McCartney's songs will be on the digital platforms is due to be announced shortly, sparking a possible chart run for a number of the former Beatle's solo tunes.

McCartney recently won a Classical Brit award for his album Ecce Cor Meum and will release his next studio album, Memory Almost Full, on the newly formed Starbucks label on June 4th.

Under EMI, McCartney has released over 35 albums, including LPs with Wings and live offerings.
