Metallica have made chart history in America by becoming the first group to debut five albums at number one.
Death Magnetic, the heavy rockers' latest studio release and their first since 2003's St. Anger, has sold close to 500,000 copies in just five days.
Before the latest chart feat, Metallica were tied with the Beatles, U2 and the Dave Matthews Band, who each debuted four albums at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
Meanwhile, rapper Young Jeezy's The Recession slips from one to two and Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus celebrates its 49th week on the countdown by climbing up a spot from four to three.
Jessica Simpson's first country album, Do You Know, debuts at four and also claims the top spot on the Top Country Albums chart.
Meanwhile, LL Cool J scores his sixth consecutive top 10 debut with Exit 13, which enters the new countdown at number nine.
