Rap mogul BRYAN 'BABY' WILLIAMS has been left red-faced after alleging he was in talks to invest in the Miami Dolphins - the owner of the American football team insists he's "never" engaged in business with the star or his representatives.
Lil Wayne's mentor, also known as Birdman, recently claimed he was in talks with billionaire real estate developer and Dolphins boss Stephen M. Ross to join Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez and Gloria Estefan as part-owners of the team.
He told Shade 45 radio he had submitted his proposal and was waiting to hear from National Football League officials to see whether his bid had been successful.
Williams said, “It’s in the works. You have to get a clearance from the NFL… We’re waiting on the clearance. Once we get cleared, we good... We wanted to be part owners in the Dolphins."
But Ross has cast doubt on Williams' claims and is adamant the shareholders are not looking to bring in any other high-profile investors.
He says, "I have NEVER spoken to him or any representative. (The ownership group is) not considering or looking for any celebrity limited partners."
