Michael Clarke Duncan - Michael Clarke Duncan Aka John Coffey Suffers Cardiac Arrest
Michael Clarke Duncan, the actor best known for his role in the Green Mile, has been rushed to an intensive care unit in Los Angeles. Tmz have reported that the 54 year-old actor suffered a cardiac arrest and have also suggested that he may not have survived, if it were not for the prompt reactions of his reality TV star girlfriend Omarosa Stallworth. The Apprentice star found her boyfriend in a state of cardiac arrest.
She apparently performed Cpr on Michael and successfully resuscitated him. When the paramedics arrived, he was rushed to hospital and immediately admitted to the intensive care unit. Sources have now updated Tmz on his medical condition and have confirmed that his heart rate is now stable and Omarosa has remained in the hospital with him. Doctors are now carrying out tests on the actor to try and discover why his heart stopped beating in the first place. It was a lucky escape for Duncan, who may have found that the incident ended very differently if it weren't for the quick thinking of Omarosa.
Michael Clarke Duncan was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for his performance in the 1999 movie The Green Mile, in which he played the role of John Coffey. The film itself was nominated for Best Picture at the 2000 Academy Awards and is considered to feature one of Tom Hanks' finest screen moments.
