Lawyers for Michael Jackson's estate have blasted his siblings, including Jermaine and Janet Jackson, for questioning the authenticity of the star's will, branding the allegation "false and defamatory".
The Thriller star's siblings Jermaine, Janet, Rebbie, Tito, and Randy have fired off a letter claiming administrators John Branca and John MCClain faked the icon's last will and testament prior to his death in June, 2009.
But a representative for the estate executors has now hit back, insisting the rumour is a lie spread by online conspiracy theorists and that it was proven to be untrue when the speculation first surfaced two years ago (10).
In a statement, the lawyers for Jackson's estate write, "Any doubts about the validity of Michael's will and his selection of Executors were thoroughly and completely debunked two years ago when a challenge was rejected by the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the California Court of Appeals and, finally, the California Supreme Court.
"Under the supervision of Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff, Co-Executors John Branca and John MCClain have diligently carried out their fiduciary duties as well as their obligation to Michael to make sure that his Estate benefits the only family members he named in his will - his mother and his three children.
"We are saddened that false and defamatory accusations grounded in stale Internet conspiracy theories are now being made by certain members of Michael's family whom he chose to leave out of his will. We are especially disheartened that they come at a time when remarkable progress has been made to secure the financial future of his children by turning around the Estate's finances as well as during a time when so many of Michael's fans, old and new, are enjoying his artistry through exciting new projects."
Earlier this month (Jul12), it was revealed that Jackson's estate had generated gross earnings of more than $475 million (£296.9 million) since the superstar's death, and that executors are on course to pay off the late singer's $500 million (£312.5 million) debt by the end of the year (12).

They still are trying to put their hands on Michael Jackson's fortune, especially now that the Estate has almost paid off all debts and is doing an excellent job to protect Michael Jackson's legacy. They have absolutely NO chance to have his money, he left them OUT of his will and so it will remain, luckly, otherwise they would have already squandered everything.

Well that's the question? What does Janet know about that will that would make her put her name to this letter? She doesn't need Michael's money so what's the deal??

@jo98b: Totally agree. This is not only bull sh*t but ridiculous. How convenient that it comes only one day after the Estate announces that a majority of Michael's debt is paid off. The rest of them I expect this from but Janet?? Come on, girl!!
