Children's television presenter Michael Underwood has become the fourth contestant voted off ITV1's Dancing On Ice.

The 33-year-old and skating partner Melissa Lambert faced a skate-off against Melinda Messenger and her partner Fred Palascak after the public vote left the two couples at the bottom of the league table.

Melinda and Michael each received two votes from the judging panel before Robin Cousins' casting vote saved the model, sending Michael out of the competition.

The children's TV host was a contestant on the 2008 series of Dancing On Ice but was forced to withdraw from the show after suffering a broken ankle.

"I had a brilliant time and it was great to come back," he said after being eliminated on Sunday February 1st.

His exit came after he and Melanie had achieved their highest score of the series, with 18 points from a possible 30 after dancing to Kiss by Prince.

Former Eastenders actor Todd Carty had earlier received the lowest score from the judging panel, with only 7.5 points from 30 after dancing with skating partner Susie Lipanova to the Police's Every Breath You Take.

However, his shambolic performances have charmed the public and he has been compared to Strictly Come Dancing contestant John Sergeant, who remained on the BBC1 reality show in spite of his lack of dancing prowess.
