Mick Hucknall credits his wife and daughter for turning his life around and admits he thinks he would have died if he had kept womanising.
Mick Hucknall thinks he would have died if he hadn't stopped womanising.
The 51-year-old singer - who has famously slept with over 3,000 women - tied the knot with long-term girlfriend Gabriella Wesberry last year and credits her and their four-year-old daughter Romy for turning his life around.
Mick - whose former conquests include Catherine Zeta-Jones, Helena Christensen, Brigitte Nielsen and retired tennis star Steffi Graf - said: "I was going round the world following models. London, Paris, New York, Ibiza ... I was a boy in a Candy Shop. I did what you're supposed to do as a pop star.
"It's great in your 20s and 30s, but if I'd carried on like that I'd have been dead. I realised I wanted something else.
"Family puts things in perspective. Romy doesn't care about fame, she wants feeding in the morning.
"It's precious to me because, before I never knew what a family was and now I know, I am never going to f**k it up. Fatherhood has changed me completely."
However, the former Simply Red star - who is now performing with The Faces - admits it can be difficult combining his gruelling touring schedule with fatherhood.
He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm enjoying fatherhood immensely ... mostly. My daughter wakes up at 7am and I like getting up early.
"It's just hard going on stage at midnight when I want to be in bed by 11."
"This is one of those avant-garde things, is it?" says a droll, dubious and dying...
