Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino was allegedly doing DRUGS ''for years''.

The 'Jersey Shore' star recently checked into an undisclosed facility for ''much needed rest and recuperation'' and despite his management insisting he wasn't receiving treatment for substance abuse, his former co-star Angelina Pivarnik claims he's had a long-running history with drugs.

She told the 'Murphy in the Morning Show': ''I don't understand how nobody caught on to him doing a mass amount of drugs!

''Obviously he's been using the money not for charity, and stuff like that to help kids out, to help people that are less fortunate, but using blow.''

Angelina says Mike should have got help for his addictions years ago and thinks he needs to spend a long time in rehab.

She said: ''He's hideous! He's Popeye on crack.

''He deserves to freakin' stay in rehab for the next 10 years! Please stay in the rehab and don't come out!

''I can't believe he didn't go to rehab three years ago.''

A representative for The Situation had said: ''He is not in rehab for substance abuse. He has spent the last several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule.''

It is thought The Situation is keen to ''get away from the public'' and ''relax'' for a few weeks before the upcoming sixth series of 'Jersey Shore' hits MTV.
