Miley Cyrus has had a quote from former US President Theodore Roosevelt famous 1910 speech tattooed onto her arm.
The 19-year-old singer-and-actress showed off her new body art yesterday (10.07.12), with the words from the former US leader visible on her left forearm.
The words Miley has had etched onto her body read: ''So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.''
The quote is from the' Man in the Arena' passage of the president's 'Citizenship in a Republic' speech which was delivered in the French capital.
Terry Brown, executive director of the Theodore Roosevelt Association, said: ''I'm happy it wasn't on her keister.''
The 'Last Song' star - who is engaged to Liam Hemsworth - has 14 other tattoos on different parts of her body and has previously revealed she only gets inkings that have a significant meaning in her life.
She said: ''I could never get a meaningless tattoo, but I think that if you're doing something that's important, that's significant in your life, it takes some of the pain of the process away.''
