Actress Tania Zaetta has received an apology from Australia's military chief after it was alleged she had sex with soldiers in war-torn Afghanistan during a concert tour last year (08). Zaetta was named in a confidential briefing paper to Aussie Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon as having slept with troops at a military base in Tarin Kowt while on an entertainment tour of Australian Defence Force bases.
The star, who has a budding Bollywood career, angrily denied the allegations - and has now received a personal apology from Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston.
Houston says, "There was no substance to the allegations. Ms Zaetta gave her time and her talent to entertain our forces serving in Afghanistan and she deserves our praise and our thanks. I have also made clear to Ms Zaetta that she is welcome to again join a Forces Entertainment Tour in the near future."
