Mindy McCready is enduring a topsy turvy time of it at the moment, with the country music star revealing that she's pregnant with twins on the same day as denying that she kidnapped her 5 year-old son Zander.
To People Magazine first; they report that a rep for McCready - whose suffered several hospitalisations over the past six years since first attempting to commit suicide in 2005 - confirmed that the star is pregnant with twins and will be expecting in around four months. It has not been reported who the father is. McCready made a stunning splash onto the US Country scene back in 1996 when aged 20 her debut album 'Ten Thousand Angels' went double platinum in the US. However her career has since been taken over by a series of suicide attempts, jail time, self-harm and depression - a sad story for a once promising star. Her first album for eight years missed the US Billboard Top 200 in 2010 and only reached 71 in the Country charts.
Talking to Access Hollywood, the 36 year-old responded to claims that a missing persons report had been filed for her son Zander - McCready does not have custody of the 5 year-old, instead her parents do. She said, "I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out," she insisted, "I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert."
