Minogue 'Not Frustrated' By Lack Of American Success
Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue isn't fazed she has failed to set the U.S. charts alight during her career, but wishes people would stop asking if it bothers her.
The Can't Get You Out Of My Head hitmaker has a huge following in the U.K., Europe and in her native Australia, but has only ever managed to land a top five album in America once with Fever in 2004.
Minogue is set to embark on her first North American tour in September (09), but isn't desperately trying to crack the country - insisting superstardom in the U.S. has always "remained at arm's length".
But the singer insists she isn't upset about her status in America - but instead by the constant reminder from reporters.
She says, "It doesn't frustrate me (not cracking America). It's frustrating being asked about it and the assumption that it's something really missing in my career and in my life.
"It just so happens that I live in London and my time is spent more throughout Europe and then there's the Asian connection through Australia but the U.S.A. has remained at arm's length."
