Activists in India have protested over the release of Bollywood movie MISS ANARA - forcing a cinema showing the film to close. The real-life documentary on former beauty queen Anara Gupta has been surrounded by controversy since its release, with protesters from political party Shiv Sena taking part in a rally in the Jammu region of the country calling for the movie to be banned. Activists also burnt an effigy of the star, with the protests causing the Raj theatre in Udhampur - which was showing the film - to close. A pornographic movie allegedly featuring Gutpa was leaked in 2004, with the star facing criticism in her native India ever since. Aanan Sharma, Sena's state president insists the party does not want the film released in Jammu over its "objectionable script" which could be offensive to the public.
