Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker was remembered by friends and family on Thursday (08Nov12) as he was laid to rest.

Lucker died at the University of California Irvine Medical Center last Thursday morning (01Nov12) due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle crash the previous day (31Oct12).

His loved ones turned out for his funeral just a week after the tragedy, and his Suicide Silence bandmate Dan Kenny took to Twitter.com to share his grief with fans.

The bassist told his followers, "Had to bury my brother today, he looked peaceful when I saw him. It was very hard but it was needed! To the fans just know Mitch loved yall (sic)."

Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen was also at the service, and tweeted a picture of the funeral program, which featured a picture of Lucker on stage.

The remaining members of Suicide Silence have launched a memorial fund to provide assistance to Lucker's family and the education of his five-year-old daughter, Kenadee.
