Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker's widow has revealed the rocker was drinking at the time of his fatal motorcycle crash on Wednesday (31Oct12).

Lucker died at the University of California Irvine Medical Center on Thursday morning (01Nov12) due to injuries sustained in the accident, just hours after he posted an image of himself on Twitter.com dressed up as a skeleton for Halloween.

Nearly 400 fans gathered at the site of the crash on Main Street in Huntington Beach, California, for a candlelight vigil on Thursday night, and his wife Jolie Carmadella - the mother of the rocker's five-year-old daughter Kenadee - confessed to mourners she tried to prevent him from going out because he had been drinking.

She said, "He was an alcoholic, and it's a been a big battle. I tried to stop him. I was in front of him begging him not to leave the house. Begging him, 'Just seriously, for us, don't leave.' And he did. And this is what happened. It's a wake-up call.

"He was an amazing man. He was a wonderful father and a great husband. And now he's gonna miss out on watching Kenadee grow (up), because he decided to drink and ride. Just don't. Just think before you guys do something stupid. Please learn from this. Please."

Lucker died after his Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a truck after he lost control of the vehicle.
