Double Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah has become a father after his wife gave birth to twin girls on Friday (24Aug12).
The Somali-born British track and field athlete was cheered on by his heavily pregnant wife Tania at the London 2012 Games earlier this month (Aug12) when he won the 10,000 metre and 5,000 metre races.
Now he has another reason to celebrate, telling Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "It (the twins' birth) is such great news, very exciting."
The happy couple has yet to decide on baby names.
Farah is also step-dad to a daughter named Rihanna.
