Moon And Mercury Named In Dream Rock Band Lineupby Contributor | 14 November 2008
The ultimate rock band would be composed of Keith Moon, Eric Clapton and Freddie Mercury, according to a new survey,
A poll conducted on behalf of Guitar Hero World Tour found that the late, great Keith Moon is the drummer most aspiring British musicians would have wanted in their dream band lineup.
Clapton beat the likes of Brian May, Jimi Hendrix and Slash to be named the ultimate axeman while May's former Queen bandmate Mercury was seen as the ideal vocalist to front any rock band.

But following in the footsteps of Mercury, or the UK's other ultimate frontmen - Jon Bon Jovi, John Lennon and Robert Plant, among others - is only narrowly more appealing than taking to the stage armed with a guitar, the poll suggested.
