'Morbid' Diana Book Slammed
A controversial new book about DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES' fatal car crash has been blasted for containing "morbid" photographs of the Paris smash scene only minutes after she died. LADY DIANA: THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION, which is set for release in France, will also include two graphic diagrams of the injuries the tragic British royal suffered in the August 1997 accident. Publishers have so far refused to print extracts in French newspapers but the contentious book, compiled by JEAN-MICHEL CARADEC'H, will be available for sale at the end of the month (JUL06). JEAN-PIERRE BRUNOIS, owner of national newspaper Le Soir, says, "It is utterly morbid to go back to her death in such detail. Raking over the death so many years later is a regrettable thing to do. "My heart goes out to the young princes (WILLIAM and HARRY) because this really is utterly unnecessary."
