Mumford And Sons - Mumford And Sons Ready To Record
Mumford and Sons are finally ready to start work on their second album after spending longer than they anticipated touring their debut release.
Mumford And Sons are "getting their heads down" with writing their second album.
'The Cave' band's unexpected success meant they have spent much longer on the road touring than they had originally planned, but they are now excited about recording the follow up to 'Sigh No More'.
Keyboardist Ben Lovett said: "When we released 'Sigh No More' we never expected it'd be so long before we got back into the studio properly.
"We love touring and have found so much new ground to cover, beyond the great pub tours of the UK, that we've found it hard getting off the road.
"We're massively looking forward to presenting this next record to the world once it's ready and getting back out there playing live all over again."
The group have previously said they are aiming for a "doom folk" sound with their second album.
Ben said: "It's not like we are just listening to one style from one era. It's finding the songs that really speak to us and then we discuss them, we share those songs around.
