British rockers Muse are hoping to triumph at this year's (06) Kerrang! Awards, as they have been nominated in an impressive five categories. The SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE stars, who have also been nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize this year, are up for best live band, single, album, video and best British band. Welsh rockers Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For A Friend and Lostprophets are also up for the prize of best British band, as voted for by the readers of the British rock magazine, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, TRIVIUM, Avenged Sevenfold, HIM and Lacuna Coil have all been shortlisted for Best Band On The Planet. Former Best Band On The Planet award-winners Green Day have been nominated for Best Video for JESUS OF SUBURBIA. The Kerrang! Awards ceremony kicks off in London on 24 August.
