Muse regret missing out on recording a James Bond theme.

The 'Survival' band - Matt Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard - didn't contribute a track to the latest film in the spy franchise, 'Skyfall', but think their song 'Supremacy' would have been perfect.

Dominic described the track, saying: ''It's got a little bit of a Bond vibe - it all goes a bit crazy [like former Bond theme] 'Live And Let Die' in the middle.

''My view is they should use it for the James Bond film, but I don't know what's going on with that. I heard Adele was doing it.''

It was recently confirmed the titular theme to 'Skyfall' will be sung by Adele, and is expected to be released next week.

'Supremacy' isn't the only track the Dominic thinks would sound good in a movie, adding another song from new album 'The 2nd Law' would fit well in a film about the world's financial crisis.

He added to the BBC: '''Animals' is probably the most political song.

''It's aimed at the bankers and people who gambled everyone's money and ended up putting countries in debt.''

Daniel Craig returns as James Bond in 'Skyfall' on October 26 - marking the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise - and Muse's album 'The 2nd Law' is out October 1.
