Fans of rockers Foreigner are voicing their concerns about the welfare of guitarist Mick Jones after he missed the band's big gig with Journey at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Tuesday (11Oct11).
A near-capacity crowd watched frontman Kelly Hansen, a replacement for original singer Lou Gramm, and his band run through hits like Cold as Ice, Jukebox Hero, Waiting For a Girl Like You and I Want To Know What Love Is - but Jones was a no-show, and it has emerged illness has prevented him from performing for well over a month.
The rocker's management and the band's agent are refusing to comment on what ails the rocker, but a spokesman insists he is "recovering well and we expect him to be back with us soon."
The Journey/Foreigner tour continues in northern California with a show in Fresno on Wednesday night (12Oct11).
Meanwhile, fan message boards suggest Jones hasn't been performing with the band he founded since 20 August (11).
