Grieving Liam Neeson has made his first public appearance since the tragic death of his beloved wife Natasha Richardson to watch a new play - with the support of his close pal Ralph Fiennes.
Neeson put his bereavement aside for one night as he enjoyed an evening with fellow thespian Fiennes and a group of close friends at the New York theatre production of Mary Stuart.
Fiennes offered the brave star a shoulder to lean on as they made their way down the red carpet and faced the cameras side-by-side.
And Fiennes will be able to support his friend throughout the coming months - both actors are set to star in the upcoming remake of Clash of the Titans, according to reports.
Neeson buried his actress wife Richardson in New York on 22 March (09). She lost her fight for life after suffering a traumatic brain injury while skiing in the Canadian resort of Mont Tremblant.
