Almost certain to trigger a counteroffensive by Hollywood's copyright cops, a new application called Boxopus can now download movies and TV shows to a user's Dropbox folder from pirate sites without any need for a BitTorrent client. As reported by TorrentFreak.com, Boxopus, which is now being beta tested and is available free, can simultaneously make the movies available on one's personal computer, tablet device, or smartphone while retaining the anonymity of the user. The founder of Boxopus is also preserving his own anonymity. Referred to only as Alex in the TorrentFreak article, he remarked, "Cloud storage is an emerging trend, it's obvious that sooner or later everything will be in the cloud. That's why we decided to unite Dropbox and BitTorrent to make downloads as easy as one click."
