Dirty Pretty Things frontman CARL BARAT enjoyed his recent stint as an actor so much, he's plotting a return to the big screen - and has already landed a role as a scientist in a new British movie.
The former Libertines guitarist starred as rock legend Gene Vincent in the upcoming film Telstar, which charts the life of pioneering music producer Joe Meek.
Now he has lined up another movie role - but is keeping the details under wraps.
He says, "I have something coming up. It's a very different direction (to Telstar) - a part you really would not expect me to play which makes it very exciting. I'll be playing a scientist in a new British film which will be weird but cool."
Telstar is set to premiere at the London Film Festival next month (Oct08).
