Spider-Man will be back on the big screen but with some new personnel involved, according to director Sam Raimi.

Raimi was in the director's chair for the first three Spider-Man movies as well as writing this year's third instalment, but has confirmed that some fresh talent will be behind the scenes for the fourth film.

Talking to MTV.com, the helmer said that Peter Parker's prospects will be in the hands of another director once the fourth film in the franchise goes into production.

"Right now, a writer is being sought to write the next instalment," Raimi revealed. "We're in the very early stages."

Though Raimi - who produced upcoming horror flick 30 Days of Nights - had mentioned plans to involve Spider-Man's adversaries the Lizard and the Sinister Six into the next movie, he told The Music website that he's taking a back seat on the next movie.

"I won't be working on the story," he revealed. "It'll be a brand-new writer coming in with a brand-new story - a fresh take on the Spider-Man series.

"We're hearing different versions right now and really enjoying the different stories," Raimi added. "Hopefully we'll hear one that sounds right for the fourth instalment."

Confirming he will solely produce the next movie, he commented: "In this case, it's more in the writer's hands. I'm going to let the writer envision where Peter Parker would go to next."

Raimi also added that he and brother Ivan, a long-time collaborator, are considering a fourth movie in the Evil Dead series, the franchise that launched Raimi and star Bruce Campbell to fame.
