Leading U.S. newswoman Andrea Mitchell revealed she's battling breast cancer during her political affairs show on Msnbc on Wednesday (07Sep11).
The network's chief foreign affairs correspondent, who is married to American economist Alan Greenspan, shared the news with viewers, but insisted she has "a terrific prognosis".
The 64 year old said, "(It) was discovered during my annual screening just a short time ago. Lucky for me, I'm one of the fortunate ones. We discovered it in the earliest stage, it has not spread, and I'm already back at work with a terrific prognosis."
