Nick Frost is to play one of The Dwarves in 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.

The 'Paul' actor has been cast alongside British stars including Ray Winstone, Ian McShane and Bob Hoskins as one of the pint-size heroes in the movie, which is a re-telling of the traditional 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' tale with Kristen Stewart as the leading beauty.

Writing on twitter, Nick said: "I can however confirm I'll be dwarfing it up in Snow White and the Huntsman! Nasty hobbits. wrongfilm (sic)"

Others taking on the dwarf roles include Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan and Stephan Graham.

The Rupert Sanders-directed project stars Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the evil queen who tasks him with finding the woman who she believes is too beautiful.

However, the tables are turned when he decides to help Snow White escape from the queen's clutches.

The movie will begin shooting in August and is planned for release in June 2012.

It is not the only film about Snow White currently in the works - an as-yet-untitled version starring Julia Roberts is also being planned.
