It's finally been confirmed; Nicki Minaj and Mia WILL be sharing the stage with Madonna at this weekend's Super Bowl, among the largest sporting events in the world with an estimated 100 million tuning in each year to watch the duel between American Football's two finest sides of the season.

Minaj confirmed the news last Friday via Twitter, cementing the rumours that had been building ever since it was announced last year that Madonna would be singing at the event. Replying to a fan on Twitter she wrote "Super Bowl rehearsals w/the Queen ;) ----> RT @HumbleNika:@NICKIMINAJ what does your agenda contain today Nic? :)" describing the sessions later as "epic." Last night Mia confirmed to BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe that she too would be appearing to join Minaj and Madge in a rendition of collaboration 'Give Me All Your Luvin,' the forthcoming single from the Queen of Pop's forthcoming studio album 'MDNA.' Entertainmentwise reports her telling Zane Lowe "Yes, I'm going to the Super Bowl. I'm gonna be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj... If you're gonna go to the Super Bowl, you might as well go with America's biggest female icons." Well of course! That's how we normally attend.

Both Minaj and Mia will no doubt have been stunned by the amount of effort the 53 year-old Madonna still puts in ahead of a live shift, with various sources commenting on the gruelling nature of the rehearsals in the lead up to the show. A source told the UK's Sun "Madonna has been brutal in rehearsals. Although they've been having a laugh, they've been doing up to 12 hours in a New York studio," continuing "She's saying they can sleep after the Super Bowl. She's involved in every aspect of the show, including Nicki and M.I.A's outfits. Nicki has been telling pals it's the most gruelling thing she has ever done and wouldn't expect anything else, calling it an 'epic learning experience'."
