Rapper Nicki Minaj has lavished praise on her pop peer Britney Spears for making their upcoming summer (11) tour a completely drug and alcohol-free zone, insisting it's "as it should be".
The Moment 4 Life hitmaker will open for Spears when they kick off the Femme Fatale U.S. trek next month (Jun11) and the pop superstar, who has overcome a tumultuous few years, has issued a total ban on any booze and illegal substances while on the road.
And Minaj couldn't be happier with the Toxic singer's example.
She tells Life & Style magazine, "I think it's a great thing. It's definitely not a negative thing. It's not going to affect me in anyway. If that's the way Britney wants it, so be it. She's the queen of her castle. It trickles down and makes everyone responsible.
"We start on June 17 and I'm sure it's going to be a whirlwind. I'm sure it's going to change the way I view touring. Every tour I do is different and I get new energy."
Minaj recently finished a tour with her Young Money Records boss Lil Wayne and she is adamant that roadshow was also a clean-living experience.
She says, "I should add that there were no drugs and alcohol on the Lil Wayne tour I just completed."
