Nicollette Sheridan - Nicollette Sheridan Lawyer Truly Believes In Abc Conspiracy
Nicollette Sheridan's lawyer has revealed that he is still adamant that ABC were plotting to fire SHERIDAN. Nicollette Sheridan is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against 'Desperate Housewives' creator MARC CHERRY who she accuses of hitting her and firing her unjustly.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, SHERIDAN's laywer, Mark Baute, stated at a news conference: 'I don't think the jury will have a difficult time believing they heard other than the truth from a former studio executive'. This statement came a day after 'Housewives' writer Jeff Greenstein told the court that he had worked as a writer on season 5 and that there had been discussions over killing off SHERIDAN's character then. Greenstein testified: 'I do recall in October, November and December it was still a matter he (Cherry) was not totally at rest with'. Greenstein further suggested that he did not tell SHERIDAN about them thinking of killing her off because 'it was not my place to do it'.
The trial will now continue on Monday with some final witnesses to be called. The lawyers will make their final summaries on Tuesday and then the decision will be left for the jury to decide. If Sheridan wins, she will get $4.2 million in back salary and there may even be additional punitive damages if the jury decide to follow that through.
The eighth and final series of 'Desperate Housewives' is currently airing on Channel 4 in the UK.
