NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN became the first double winner at the 2008 Academy Awards after claiming two of the first 10 prizes. Spanish actor Javier Bardem claimed the Best Supporting Actor prize for his portrayal of psychotic killer Anton Chigurh in the film, while sibling writer/directors Joel + Ethan Coen claimed the Best Adapted Screenplay honour for turning Cormac MCCarthy's dark tale into a movie. The film has been nominated for eight Oscars, including the night's big Best Feature prize.
