A special premiere party for 'The Avengers' is being held in Cleveland, Ohio, where the movie was partly filmed. According to ABC'snewsnet5.com, Cinemark in Valley View will be hosting a special premiere for all of the extras that worked on the movie when it was being filmed in the locale.

It is thought that many of the extras will be dressed in superhero outfits, to make the most of the event. The Avengers has been performing well globally and is expected to enjoy an incredibly lucrative domestic debut this weekend. The movie officially opens at midnight and it is thought that some U.S. theatres will be screening the movie around the clock to meet the demands of eager cinema fans wanting to catch a glimpse of their favourite superheroes on their first weekend. It has been predicted that the movie will gross around $160million.

One of the stars of the movie, Scarlett Johansson has been celebrating getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During her ceremony, she made a speech to those in attendance, saying "when I was told I was getting this star, I thought to myself, man, I really made it to the big time. You know, no matter what happens from here on out, I made my mark, I'm here to stay, and my family for generations to come will always be able to visit me right here, always. What a deeply, deeply touching gift."
