One Direction ''don't take themselves too seriously.''

The 'Live While We're Young' group are still down to earth despite their world conquering fame, which is key to their success, according to girl group Little Mix.

Band member Jade Thirlwall told MTV: ''I think they are just being themselves. They are really humble and they just enjoy it.''

Co-singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock agreed, adding: ''Whenever I see them, they are always just so normal. People can relate to that.''

Perrie Edwards, who also stars in the band, and dates One Direction's Zayn Malik, said: ''They work hard and don't take themselves too seriously. They are like us. ''

Perrie also told how she'd had the opportunity to hang out with Zayn and fellow teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, but went to bed instead.

She explained: ''I just walked in and he was like, 'Hey, I'm Justin', and I was thinking, 'I know who you are'.

''It was just weird as I was like 'Hi, I'm Perrie', because he probably won't know my name but with Justin Bieber, you are going to know who he is.

''So I was like, 'Ah, bless him, he introduced himself' and that was it really. I didn't want to be in the way of their boys night, so I just went to bed.''

Little Mix - which also includes fourth member Jesy Nelson - release their debut album, 'DNA', next month.
